Sales of adult toys are up 32 per cent since the World Cup kicked off

World Cup fever has well and truly taken Britain by storm.

Since the tournament kicked off in Qatar, sex toy sales have gone through the roof.

According to new data released by GetFruityCo.com, figures show that sales of vibrators and dildos have spiked and are up by a whopping 32 per cent.

There have been plenty of moments throughout this tournament which have got our blood rushing.

Seeing Marcus Rashford bend in that brilliant free-kick.

Witnessing Lionel Messi effortlessly dancing his way past countless defenders.

Or even losing our minds over the Brazilians sambaing after going 1-0 up against South Korea.

But for some, all of these pulsating moments appear to have gotten them in the mood for some action – action in the bedroom, we mean.

Checking out the figures, it seems people from Liverpool have ordered more toys than anywhere else in the United Kingdom.

In second place is London, closely followed by Bath of all places.

Making up the top five is Brighton and Nottingham while Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Bristol and Norwich completed the top 10.

“With the World Cup consisting of more than 60 games, a lot of blokes will be focused on the football rather than their wife or partner," Adam Wright of GetFruityCo.com said.

“There really isn’t going to be much respite when some start as early as 10am and others don’t finish until 9pm. So, it may be the case that women will be spending more time on their own than they usually do, unless they are football fans too.

“The increase in sales has been quite significant. Generally, this time of year sales are steady but there has been a sharp spike recently.

“The uplift following the England game was interesting too. Perhaps women are realising that England is going to playing more than three games, which is good for the country, players and fans, but not so good for keeping the flames of passion burning in the bedroom.”
