Liverpool are considering a move for France international Adrien Rabiot in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

Rabiot, 27, is out of contract with Juventus at the end of the season and is being linked with a move away from Turin after impressing at the World Cup in Qatar.

The midfielder was a key player at the tournament for France, who came agonisingly close to winning back-to-back World Cups – with Didier Deschamps' side narrowly losing on penalties to Argentina in Sunday's final.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as reported by Sport Witness, claim a number of clubs are interested in signing Rabiot next month, including Liverpool.

Premier League rivals Tottenham are described as being in the "front row" to sign the midfielder, while Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all registered their interest.

Manchester United have also been linked with Rabiot after failing in a bid to sign him during the summer transfer window, while Chelsea are also interested.

Will Juventus sell Rabiot in January?

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly keen to keep Rabiot for the remainder of the season, even if it means losing him for free at the end of the campaign.

However, it is also claimed that cash-strapped Juventus are desperate to sell the midfielder.

It is suggested that a bid of between €10-15m would be "received with interest" by the Turin club.

Rabiot's wage demands revealed

Recent reports claim Rabiot wants a €10m-per-year contract from his next club.

However, sources have confirmed to 90min that he would accept less for the 'right footballing project'.

Rabiot himself has suggested that the Premier League is his preferred destination.

"I have always said that I'd like to play in England in my career. I still have that desire. I'd like to evolve in the Premier League," he said.
