The only time Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been 'dribbled past' this season has got fans talking

A video of Aaron Wan-Bissaka being 'dribbled past' has caused controversy.

A clip of the only time Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been 'dribbled past' this season has caused controversy online, with Manchester United fans all saying the same thing.

Wan-Bissaka has the best win percentage in 1v1 duels of any Premier League defender this season and has only been dribbled past ONCE, according to data.

He delivered another stellar defensive showing in his side's FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton, with James Maddison heaping huge praise on him during the game.

The 25-year-old brilliantly contained Kaoru Mitoma, who gave an incredibly honest reflection on his duel with the player in last Sunday's showdown at Wembley Stadium.

A video of the only time he has been dribbled past has since emerged online, with Man United fans convinced it shouldn't count.

It came against Nottingham Forest, where Emmanuel Dennis supposedly dribbled past Wan-Bissaka.

Dennis pinched the ball off Wan-Bissaka before going back as people online believe the Forest forward did NOT fully dribble past the star defender.

One Twitter user wrote: "How do you call that a dribble? Dude went back to his own half after seeing it's AWB against him."

A second tweeted: "This can't count. He kicked it in reverse & went back to his half."

A third added: "That shouldn't even count lmao, just touched it past him as it came down out the air."

A fourth said: "That isn't a dribble. The guy just ran away from him."

Another argued: "That is not dribbled past in my opinion."

Wan-Bissaka is getting a run in the team due to the injuries at the back, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane unavailable.

He had been the subject of intense transfer speculation during the January transfer window, but it appears Erik ten Hag is set to hold onto him ahead of the 2023/24 season.
