Aaron Ramsdale Aims Brutal Hairline Dig At Rob Holding After His First Ever Premier League Goal

Holding scored as Arsenal beat West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium.

Aaron Ramsdale couldn't resist a cheeky dig at his Arsenal teammate Rob Holding after the defender scored a rare goal for the Gunners.

Holding opened the scoring in Sunday's 2-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium.

The 26-year-old, who came into Arsenal's starting XI in place of Ben White, rose highest to head in Bukayo Saka's corner in the 38th minute of the match.

It was his first ever Premier League goal and only the second league goal of his career, with his last one coming for Bolton in a Championship match against MK Dons in 2016.

Jarrod Bowen equalised for West Ham just minutes after Holding's opener, but Arsenal would go on to win the match thanks to a second-half goal from Gabriel.

Speaking after the match, Holding admitted he felt slightly surprised to have finally scored in the Premier League after 81 appearances.

"I've scored a few Carabao Cup goals but it's nice to get my first Premier League goal and hopefully we can build on that now and get a few more," Holding told Sky Sports.

Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale then interrupted his teammate.

"It's only taken him six years and a new hairline," joked Ramsdale, referencing Holding's hair transplant.

The pair then burst into laughter, with Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves adding: "Don’t spoil his moment!"

Victory for Arsenal moves them back above Tottenham and into the top four.

The Gunners are now two points clear of their bitter rivals with four games remaining in the season.

Arsenal return to action against Leeds United at the Emirates on Sunday, while Tottenham face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
