Haas have provided an update on Ollie Bearman after the driver was involved in a terrifying 140mph crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.
After a promising start to the 2026 Formula One season, the 20-year-old's race was cut short after he made an attempt to go past Franco Colapinto on the 22nd lap at the Suzuka circuit.
Bearman was looking to move into 15th place but the maneuver on the Spoon Curve did not go to plan - with Colapinto moving to the middle of the track.
Losing control, Bearman ended up on the grass and crashed into the distance boards at 140mph before smashing into the barriers in a sideways position as debris flew into the air.

His car was destroyed and Bearman was understandably unable to finish the race.
Footage showed Bearman exiting the vehicle unaided but he limped away from the crash and was helped by marshalls before being taken to the medical centre.
Fortunately, his team gave an encouraging update following an x-ray Taking to X, Haas' official account said: "Ollie has reported to be OK and sustained no fractures from his earlier crash".
As per the Daily Mail, a Haas spokesman said Bearman was "alert and communicating" but had suffered a "right-knee contusion".

On the Sky Sports broadcast, Haas chief Aayo Komatsu described the crash as "scary".
A safety car was deployed in the race, which was won by championship leader Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes after a smart pit.
The 19-year-old saw off Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc to claim a second victory in a row and make Formula One history.
Despite the concern for Bearman, Haas did add a point to their tally after his teammate Esteban Ocon managed to finish in the final points position after ending the race in P10.
It remains to be seen whether Bearman will be able to return to the cockpit for the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday 3 May following the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia events due to conflict in the Middle East.
He went into the race fifth in the drivers' standings but this DNF and the performances of others mean he has dropped down to seventh overall.
Bearman took 41 points in his first full debut season in F1.
