A close friend of Michael Schumacher has previously given a heartbreaking update on the Formula 1 legend's health.
The world of F1 was shaken to its core back in December 2013 after it emerged that seven-time world champion Schumacher was hospitalised due to a serious accident while skiing.
At the time, the former Ferrari driver was airlifted to the hospital, where he was placed in a medically induced coma until June 2014.
Since the incident happened, very little updates have been given on Schumacher's well-being as the German's family decided to keep all details private.

Schumacher has not been seen in public since the accident, and media coverage of the German has been kept low-key.
Back in 2024, Roger Benoit, a popular F1 journalist who has a close relationship with the Schumacher family, described the ongoing situation as 'a case without hope' in an interview with Blick.
When asked for an update on the F1 legend's health, Benoit said: "There is only one answer to this question and that is simply what his son Mick gave in one of his rare interviews in 2022: 'I would give anything to talk to dad'.
"This sentence says everything about how his father has been doing for over 3,500 days. A case without hope."

Meanwhile, Flavio Briatore, who was in charge of the Benetton team when Schumacher won his first two world titles, appeared to confirm that the F1 great is bed-bound.
As reported by the Daily Mail, he said to Corriere della Sera: "If I close my eyes. I see him smiling after a victory.
"I prefer to remember him like that rather than him just lying on a bed. Corinna (Schumacher's wife) and I talk often, though."

Briatore's ex-wife, Elisabetta Gregoraci previously said: "Michael doesn't speak, he communicates with his eyes.
"Only three people can visit him and I know who they are."
Former FIA chief and Ferrari boss Jean Todt is one of the few people who has been granted special permission to visit Schumacher, which he does on a regular basis.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera last year, Todt said: "We respect the privacy wishes of Corinna and her children, although we know of course that the accident had consequences.

"But anyone who says they know something, knows nothing."
