Formula 1 fans have been reacting on social media after seeing the food and drink prices at the Miami Grand Prix.

After a short break on the back of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, F1 will return this weekend in the city of Miami.

Being one of the most anticipated races on the calendar, the Miami weekend is set to attract many fans and a host of different A-list celebrities.

Ahead of the weekend, F1 photographer Kym Illman has posted a video on his social media page revealing the prices of food and drinks inside the event.

The Australian began: "What are you going to pay for food at the Miami Grand Prix? Well, you can get a pizza for $16 or $18. A couple of pastas for $25. $23 for fried calamari.

"If you want a water, $6, a beer, budget $13. And remember, that's not the end price because you've got to add tax on top."

Illman continued: "If sushi is more your thing, hand rolls for $6 to $18. Mexican food lovers, you'll get two tacos for $18 or nachos for $19.

"If you fancy a glass of bubbly, you'll get Piper-Heidsieck for $27 a glass or a bottle for $130 plus tax."

Reacting in the comments section, one fan said: "Welcome to Miami."

Another wrote: "Pasta for 25 dollars should be illegal."

A third fan added: "Welcome to F1 snacks and beverages!"

Someone else simply said: "Outrageous."

A fifth commented: "You’ve got to be a billionaire to attend a F1 race. Honestly, it’s a shame for the sport that celebrities with no F1 love attend races for free and the normal F1 enjoyers and passionates cannot."

Another fan said: "Two tacos for $18 is an absolute disgrace."

After winning in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, McLaren star Oscar Piastri will look to make it a hat-trick of wins in Miami.

However, he will face tough competition from the likes of teammate Lando Norris, Mercedes star George Russell and reigning world champion Max Verstappen.
