Reigning Formula One champion Max Verstappen has been called out by a racing rival who claimed he'd be nothing without his dad.

On his road to winning four F1 Drivers Championship titles, it's safe to say that Verstappen has made some enemies, including new Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton.

In recent months, the Dutch driver has also caused some drama off-track while streaming simulated racing on the Twitch channel Team Redline.

And now, one of his e-racing rivals has hit out at Verstappen, making the bold claim that he wouldn't be as successful without his dad Jos.

With 4 world titles, 63 race wins and 112 podiums, Verstappen has already enjoyed one of the most successful careers in the history of Formula One, despite being just 27 years old.

However, while competing against him in an iRacing event Williams Esports driver Jaden Munoz hit out at Verstappen's achievements.

During a digital race on the iconic Road America circuit, the two racers crashed on two occasions, leading to a frustrated outburst from the American.

After their first clash came as Munoz approached race leader Verstappen on the approach to Turn One, where the two made brief contact before Verstappen lost the car's rear on corner entry, spinning and narrowly missing hitting his rival again.

Reacting to the moment, the 18-year-old Williams driver said: “Look how dumb he is,

But it was the second clash that led to Munoz's bold claim about Verstappen's career, as Munoz attempted to lap Verstappen, who lost significant ground due to his Turn One spin.

After letting his rival through, the F1 champion tagged Munoz as they entered the next corner, causing both cars to spin out and get stuck in the gravel.

"Yeah, I knew it,” admitted Munoz who had anticipated a reaction from Verstappen.

“I knew it. This is why you were gifted everything in your life, Max. You’re a spoilt brat. You’d be nothing without your father. You’d be nothing. You’d be a nobody.”

While not quite to the same level as his son, Verstappen's father, Jos, also enjoyed a successful career in Formula One, achieving two podiums while driving for several teams between 1994 and 2003.

Throughout his F1 career, Verstappen has become famous for his aggressive driving style, leading to criticism from both Lando Norris and Hamilton.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the Dutch driver replicates this when racing online, where the repercussions of a big crash are much less severe.
