Fans Spot Lando Norris Detail in Max Verstappen Post After Singapore GP Incident

Verstappen was not happy with Norris after Singapore GP qualifying - before spending almost the entire race directly in front of him.

Max Verstappen's Instagram post about Lando Norris has gone viral after the Singapore Grand Prix.

Verstappen qualified in second place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, before holding on to it for the entire race to claim 18 points.

The Dutchman was never in a position to challenge George Russell for the win, but also managed to comfortably hold off Norris in the McLaren.

Norris kept the gap to Verstappen under two seconds throughout the final 25 laps but, barring a half-hearted move down the outside into turn four, did not have any other opportunities to overtake.

On social media after the race, Verstappen posted an aerial shot of himself and Norris' cars on the main straight.

Fans spotted the size of the gap between the two cars in the photo - and are convinced he picked out the photo on purpose in relation to the qualifying incident that occurred involving both drivers.

Verstappen complained of traffic during his final Q3 lap, telling interviewer David Coulthard: "When I arrived to Turn 16, I had a car two or three seconds in front of me, and you can't have that. You lose downforce, as simple as that.

"That's noted. It will be remembered, as well."

When asked who the driver was, the Dutchman looked across to Norris' McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri and replied: "Not Oscar!"

The insinuation from Verstappen's post is that Norris was close enough behind him during the race to be affected by the Red Bull's dirty air, losing downforce as a result.

For Norris, the result means that he gains a further three points on championship leader Piastri, who finished fourth.

The Australian was less than pleased on lap one as Norris made contact while overtaking him at turn two.

When told by race engineer Tom Stallard that neither the race stewards nor McLaren themselves would take any action against Norris during the race, he replied: "Mate, that's not fair. Sorry, that's not fair. If he has to avoid another car by crashing into his team-mate, that's a pretty **** job of avoiding."
