Ferrari F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has released an emotional statement ahead of next Sunday’s Dutch Grand Prix.
Hamilton, 40, joined Ferrari from McLaren ahead of the 2025 F1 campaign, but, so far, his time with the Italian manufacturer has been relatively disappointing.
After 14 race weeks, Hamilton is well off the pace, having failed to win a single race, leaving him sixth in the Drivers’ Standings on 109 points.
The Brit is currently behind Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc (fifth), Mercedes’ George Russell (fourth), reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen (third) and the McLaren duo of Lando Norris (second) and Oscar Piastri (first).

Following the Hungarian Grand Prix on August 4, during which Hamilton finished 12th, the drivers had a welcome break before the season continues at the Dutch Grand Prix later this week.
The 40-year-old’s poor performances have been well documented throughout the season, with Hamilton describing himself as “useless” during qualifying in Hungary.
"I'm useless, absolutely useless,” Hamilton claimed on August 3.

"The team have no problem. You've seen the cars on pole
"So they probably need to change driver."
The seven-time F1 champion has since enjoyed a three-week break from competition but will return to the track in the Netherlands on Thursday for practice 1.
And ahead of the resumption of the season, Hamilton released an honest statement on his Instagram page on Monday (August 25).

Alongside several photographs of Hamilton in what appeared to be an exotic location, the Englishman wrote: "I’m always so grateful for this time, for the opportunity to rest and recharge. There’s a lot I’ve been meditating on. Every one of us is up against so much, both individually and globally.
It’s so important that we embrace the light of truth and love and take care of ourselves so that we can better take care of others. We can’t look away. We have to keep going, even when it’s difficult."
Fans were quick to react in the comments section of the post with several offering Hamilton words of support.
