Lando Norris couldn't help but comment on Lewis Hamilton's latest Instagram post announcing his arrival at Ferrari.

Hamilton announced he would be joining Ferrari in February last year, but made his first official visit to Maranello on Monday ahead of the new F1 season.

Ferrari and Hamilton shared an image of the seven-time world champion outside Enzo Ferrari's iconic white house.

The former Mercedes driver captioned the image 'new era' on X, but fans online have spotted a hidden meaning behind the image.

One Reddit user noticed Hamilton is standing in front of seven open windows, with a door to the eighth also in shot.

This was also picked up by fans on X, with one fan posting: "Lewis Hamilton's first photo with Ferrari has 7 windows and a door to the 8th. I've never seen a picture with more aura."

Norris' comment to Hamilton

It's not just fans who took notice on social media, with McLaren star Norris commenting 'Don' underneath Hamilton's post.

The word 'Don' means 'boss' in Italian, and is often used when describing Italian Mafia bosses or those who are dressed in a particular way.

It's safe to assume Norris wasn't accusing Hamilton of being involved in organised crime, meaning his comment was in correlation to Hamilton's particularly 'Don' like attire in the image. As well as his 'boss' like stature in the sport.

During Hamilton's first day at Maranello, the 40-year-old released his first official statement via the Ferrari website.

"There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Scuderia Ferrari HP driver, is one of those days," Hamilton began.

"I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today.

"I’m incredibly grateful to John Elkann, Benedetto Vigna, Fred Vasseur and everyone at Ferrari for their trust in me and making me part of this family."

He added: "I’m so excited to start this new era and to meet and work with a hugely talented and inspiring group of people. I’m dedicated to bringing everything I have to deliver for the team, the wider organisation and the fans.

"Today we start a new chapter in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together."
