Lando Norris' reaction to seeing the incidents between himself and Max Verstappen for the first time after the Mexico City Grand Prix speaks volumes.

The McLaren driver attempted to overtake his championship rival Verstappen around the outside of turn four on lap eight.

But the Dutchman was adjudged to have forced Norris off the track, with the Brit having to take evasive action by cutting turn five completely.

Once they both got back on track, Verstappen then overtook Norris by leaving the track at turn eight.

Both incidents saw the Dutchman given two 10-second time penalties, with the turn four incident also meaning Verstappen had two penalty points added to his licence.

Norris fumed over team radio, calling Verstappen 'dangerous' and claiming that the pair would have ended up in the wall had he not taken action to avoid a collision.

In the post-race cooldown room at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, which features the three podium sitters, the incidents between Norris and Verstappen were replayed on the big screen.

When they appeared, Norris simply looked down and laughed before looking back towards Charles Leclerc, who offered a smile in response.

After all the controversy during the race, it appeared that no words were needed from the McLaren driver after he made his feelings clear in his post-race interview.

He had said: "I knew what to expect [from Verstappen]. I didn't want to expect such a thing, because I respect Max a lot as a driver. But I was ready to expect something like this.

"This is not very clean driving, in my opinion. But I avoided it, and it was a good race.

"I just keep my head down [about the championship]. I'm doing my best. We're doing a very good job as a team and today we were probably the quickest in the end. But I just keep my head down and that's all we can do - keep focusing on ourselves and keep pushing."
