Lando Norris has been given high praise by Formula One fans after an ordinary man participated in his gruelling F1 training regime.

A Formula 1 driver has to go through a lot of intensive training to be able to drive the car due to the skill and endurance required to control the vehicles and withstand the G force it puts on the human body due to the intense speed.

Although there are only 24 races in a season, the training happens all year round and that is what results in success. Norris, who is currently second in the driver standings with McLaren also has a very detailed training programme.

The 25-year-old focuses on strength, stamina and endurance and has even uploaded a video on to YouTube in which he showcased his training regime for the season.

Norris leaves people amazed with his training regime

Among the content relating to Norris' intense training regime, he has also appeared alongside someone dubbed an 'ordinary person' to showcase his F1 training regime. And people have been amazed by what they saw from the Brit driver compared to the average Joe.

In the video, Norris was seen participate in a video with an ordinary person who was seen try out the neck workout challenge.

Norris had a 45kg resistance on his neck, while the other person had only 15kg, but seemed to struggle with it. The video was shot for Quadrant, where a normal person lived the life of Norris for 24 hours.

This left fans impressed and they expressed their thoughts online. One person who viewed the video said: "F1 drivers are on another level. It’s so much harder than it looks."

While another added: "F1 drivers are SUPER athletes. Can’t even comprehend the forces they fight when they drive. Also the quickness of their senses and reaction is unparalleled in all of sports."

Someone also questioned people who think F1 drivers weren't athletes. The comment read: "And people say F1 drivers aren't real athletes."

Lando Norris on his training regime

Norris has showcased his training regime multiple times, appearing on videos with Angry Ginge and NFL star Deebo Samuel.

He follows a very strict training plan and that is one of the reasons Norris has been successful so far.

The McLaren driver spoke to Tom Daley about his training in a podcast last year. He said: "Motorsport is a very unique sport and the way that you're going to have to train.

The biggest thing is the neck. Neck strength is probably the biggest thing as a Forumla 1 driver you have to deal with.

"When I was small I was teeny and skinny and everything, I struggled a lot physically growing up in every ladder, it gets harder more physical, I was playing catch up."

Norris added; ""Neck is the most horrible thing to train, but it is the most important and then the rest is like core and endurance you know, 2 hours is quite a long time."
