Jeremy Clarkson's controversial previous predictions about Lewis Hamilton ahead of his move to Ferrari have resurfaced.
Back in February 2024, seven-time Formula One champion Hamilton made the shock announcement that he would be leaving Mercedes to join rivals Ferrari at the end of the season.
The Brit has since competed in 13 races for the Italian manufacturer, with his most notable performance being his victory in the Chinese Grand Prix sprint race.
However, other than the China sprint, Hamilton's time at Ferrari has been relatively disappointing, leading to him currently sitting sixth in the drivers' standings.

In the wake of another disappointing race at the Belgian Grand Prix, controversial comments from popular television personality and massive F1 fan Clarkson predicting Hamilton's Ferrari career have resurfaced online.

Following reigning champion Max Verstappen's spectacular driver at the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, where he came from 7th to win the race in wet conditions, Clarkson praised the Dutchman while making a bold claim about Hamilton's future at Ferrari.
Writing in his column for The Sun at the time, the former Top Gear host claimed that Hamilton was now 'too old' and his rival had shown how he could become the greatest driver in F1 history.

He wrote: “We learned two important things during last weekend’s Grand Prix in Brazil..
“First of all, Max Verstappen is one of the all-time greats. He may even be the greatest driver we’ve ever seen.
“And second, Lewis Hamilton is past his prime. He blamed his car for his tail-end qualifying session but his team mate, George Russell, was on the front row.
“Of course it’s possible that because Lewis is moving to Ferrari next year, the team are filling his fuel tank with lemon barley water instead of petrol.

“But that seems unlikely. It’s far more probable that he’s now too old.”

Since the beginning of the 2025 season, Clarkson has spoken out about Hamilton's performances on several occasions, claiming that he had gone from 'hero to zero' during the Chinese Grand Prix weekend.
The comments even seemed to draw out a reaction from Hamilton himself, who later hit back at people outside of the Ferrari garage who were 'underestimating' the hard work that they were putting in.
