F1 fans speechless after seeing Ferrari pit lane chaos at Dutch Grand Prix

Ferrari made a huge blunder.

F1 fans have all said the same thing after Ferrari botched Charles Leclerc's pit stop at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Leclerc qualified sixth and ninth respectively - but those plans were thrown into chaos on lap one.

Heavy rain began to fall on the Zandvoort track midway through the first lap, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen in the lead.

But while Verstappen and the rest of the leading cars stayed out, his team-mate Sergio Perez and Leclerc both came in for intermediate tyres.

It proved to be the right call, with Perez advancing into the lead of the race - but it wasn't quite as successful for Ferrari.

The Scuderia pit crew clearly were not ready to service Leclerc's car in the pit lane, and had to rush to bring the tyres out for the stop as his car arrived.

That meant the Monegasque driver lost critical time, and he dropped further down the field as a result of his delayed pitstop.

Predictably, F1 fans all had the same reaction.

F1 fans say the same thing after Ferrari chaos

The Sky Sports F1 footage showed Ferrari pit crew rapidly running from the garage to Leclerc's car with each individual tyre - and fans could only watch on as Leclerc's chances slipped away.

One said: "It's a wonder anyone wants to drive for Ferrari, drivers get let down time and time again."

Another wrote: "Put in a circus song and there it is," before a third said: "The circus still continues at Ferrari's F1 team."

Meanwhile, another bluntly questioned: "When is it not chaos?"

Ferrari's second set of pitstops did pass without incident, however, before a safety car was called onto the track following Logan Sargeant's crash.

But it was another nightmare strategic moment for the Scuderia - a year on from when they brought Sainz's tyres out too late for his pit stop at the same Grand Prix.

And it got worse for Ferrari when Leclerc was later forced to retire from the race due to an undisclosed issue, bringing to an end a nightmare day for the Monegasque.
