The final morning session of F1 2025 pre-season testing was briefly stopped after a bizarre incident brought out the red flag.

All 10 teams are completing their third and final day of testing at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Times so far have been slower than on Thursday, with several drivers having broken into the one minute 29 second range on day two.

Track temperatures remain unusually low in Sakhir, though day three has at least avoided any rain so far to disrupt teams' preparations for the new season.

There has also been no repeat of the power cut on day one which forced the evening session to be extended by an hour.

But the final hour of the morning session on day three was subject to another unusual stoppage.

The session was red flagged after debris appeared underneath the race control box on the pit straight.

While the debris largely appeared to be off the racing line, it needed to be cleared away by the marshals to avoid any potential tyre punctures. As a result, the session was stopped.

It appeared that the glass from the pit box had completely shattered, with no explanation as to exactly what caused the incident.

Sky Sports commentator David Croft said: "I'm sorry, but this is not something that should happen. This is ridiculous."

The session was stopped for around 10 minutes before the green flag was waved - but the resumption lasted for mere seconds.

A quad bike was deployed onto the track to assist in clearing any remaining debris, but Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli and Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso had already entered the track to continue with their testing programmes.

They had to complete one lap of the circuit and return to the pit lane before the session resumed for a second time.
