Four Formula 1 stars are reportedly set to be summoned to the stewards after the conclusion of the Chinese Grand Prix.

On Sunday, all eyes were fixated on the Shanghai International Circuit as the second race of the 2025 season took place.

McLaren star Oscar Piastri converted his first-ever pole position into a race win, effectively leading from start to finish.

The Australian came home ahead of teammate Lando Norris and Mercedes star George Russell to score maximum points.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton, who won the Sprint on Saturday, finished in sixth place after trying a two-stop strategy that ultimately did not work.

Prior to the start of the Grand Prix, it was claimed that four drivers were facing a visit to the stewards.

As reported by Racing News 365, Stake F1 duo Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, Williams star Alexander Albon and Racing Bulls driver Yuki Tsunoda have been cited for 'failing to follow the instructions of race director Rui Marques, notably a practice start infringement'.

As stated in Rui Marques' pre-event notes, practice starts 'may only be carried out on the asphalt on the RHS [right-hand side] of the pit exit before the end of the pit wall and, for the avoidance of doubt, this includes any time the pit exit is open for the sprint and the race'.

It has been suggested that the four above-mentioned drivers may have fallen foul of that rule and will have to explain their actions.

Albon eventually came home in ninth place as his positive start to the season continued. Stake F1 duo Bortoleto and Hulkenberg finished 17th and 18th respectively.

Meanwhile, Tsunoda endured a tough race as he finished last in 19th place.

F1 will now return in two weeks' time with the Japanese Grand Prix, which will be held around the famous Suzuka Circuit on April 6.
