A Sky Sports pundit has announced that his time covering the 2026 World Darts Championship will end after Friday's quarter-finals.
All four quarter-finals take place on New Year's Day, with the semi-finals then being played on January 2.
The final itself will take place on Saturday, January 3 - a departure from the usual midweek time slot used by the PDC.
Throughout most of the tournament, coverage is fronted by presenters Emma Paton and Anna Woolhouse, with one in-studio pundit and a rotating set of commentators for each match.

The format changes for the semi-final and final, with the final generally seeing three pundits alongside one main presenter in the studio and a separate commentary team.
Three-time world champion Glen Durrant has announced that he will not feature on Sky's coverage of this year's tournament after his final commentary stint on New Year's Day.
Sky are yet to confirm which pundits will be on duty for the final at Alexandra Palace.
"One more match to commentate tomorrow and then like you watching from home (pub on Saturday) as a fan," he wrote on Twitter.
"It's brilliant to still be involved in darts and I love my job. Happy New Year everyone."

Durrant's analytical insights and commentary work has been universally praised by fans during the tournament, with the 55-year-old proving to be an extremely popular addition to the Sky team.
He joined the PDC from the BDO in 2019 and won the Premier League title a year later, before retiring from the sport in 2023 after falling out of the top 64.
Reacting to Durrant's announcement, one fan wrote: "Great job Glen. Your enthusiasm and love for darts shines through."
