Luke Littler speaks out on rival Gerwyn Price as 'in his head' claim made after Premier League Darts win

Littler has lost all four of his meetings against Price in 2025 - including two Premier League clashes.

Luke Littler has spoken out against facing Gerwyn Price after winning his fourth night of the Premier League season.

Littler dropped just four legs in matches against Stephen Bunting, Rob Cross and Luke Humphries in week eight in Newcastle to extend his lead at the top of the rankings.

He is now 14 points clear of fifth-placed Cross - the equivalent of almost three night wins - with the top four players after 16 nights qualifying for Finals Night at the O2 Arena.

His most eye-catching win on Thursday night was a 6-0 whitewash of Bunting, with the reigning world champion averaging 109, hitting five 180s and recording a 50 per cent double success.

Bunting himself averaged 102 in the match, but only had four shots at double and his wait for a win in this year's Premier League season goes on.

Littler has been in dominant form throughout this year's competition and in 2025 in general, but Price has been the one player he has not yet beaten.

The Welshman has won all four of their meetings in PDC tournaments this year, including a stunning 6-2 victory over 'The Nuke' at the Bahrain Darts Masters where he averaged 115.

Price has also emerged victorious in both Premier League meetings between the players.

Fortunately, Littler didn't have to come up against his foe on Thursday night as the 2021 champion put in an off-colour quarter-final performance to lose 6-2 to Cross.

The 18-year-old spoke about his winless streak against Price after winning the night, telling Sky Sports: "As a player, you should always be playing against the board. But I'm playing too well for them not to be playing against the board as well as me.

"I've got a few of them - just not Gezzy!"

Sky commentator Wayne Mardle said: "Gezzy [is] maybe a little bit in his head. He can't get the better of Gezzy can he?

"I don't believe any player actually comes up and just plays the board, by the way.

"He's 18, he'll learn! Joking aside, it's one of those where you need to play the player and see what they're doing. But I do believe that they're really concerned with what he can do to them, and he's annihilating a lot of players."
