Luke Littler’s close friend Angry Ginge has spoken out about the 19-year-old’s recent spat with Gian van Veen.
On Thursday (2 April), Littler and Van Veen competed in the quarter-finals of night nine of the Premier League in Manchester, with the Dutchman coming out a 6–5 winner in a fiery affair.
At one point, Van Veen appeared visibly disappointed after failing to hit double 15 to decide the match, which prompted Littler to celebrate before gesturing for his opponent to complete his throws.
Despite the setback, Van Veen went on to reach the evening’s final, where he lost 6–2 to Gerwyn Price.

Following the action, the 23-year-old Dutchman branded Littler’s behaviour “out of order” before going on to say that he was “fuming” about what had happened.
“He missed and then I took it out and he’s probably fuming,” Van Veen told Sky Sports.
“That is darts and that is my perspective. His perspective is probably different, but that is it.
“I love Luke to bits. He’s a fantastic player and a great asset to the sport, and to see all the attention he’s brought to it is phenomenal. But this is also part of it as well, and today was my day.”
Littler has yet to speak out on the incident, although he did repost a graphic featuring Van Veen’s quotes on Instagram with several laughing emojis over it.
Many notable names have had their say on the incident since it occurred, with Littler’s close friend Angry Ginge – formerly Morgan Burtwistle – weighing in with his thoughts on his YouTube channel.

Speaking about the incident, the King of the Jungle said: “Lost his head? Oh well, f***ing hell.
“Brother’s 19 and playing in front of millions, playing darts – one of the biggest athletes in the world, especially in England. Believe it or not, he will lose his head at points.
“Bro, he lost, unlucky. The guy is f***ing chilling. I’m sure he’ll be fine. He’ll win the Premier League.”
Littler returns to action on Thursday (9 April), with Premier League night 10 taking place in Brighton. The teenager faces Stephen Bunting in one of the evening’s four quarter-finals as he looks to retain his spot at the top of the leaderboard.
