Amongst the endless things to admire about the City Football Group (CFG), one aspect that sits right at the summit is how the network works in tandem with Manchester City to give several stars of tomorrow the chance to shine at the top level.

For instance, Issa Kabore was sent on loan by the Sky Blues to Ligue 1 side Troyes during the 2021/22 season, as the Burkinabe sensation was provided with the perfect platform to be able to cement his reputation as one of the most promising young right-backs in Europe.

Similarly, Girona was earmarked as Nahuel Bustos’s loan destination by Manchester City during the previous campaign and it is safe to say that it aided the gifted marksman’s development as he chipped in with 11 goals and two assists for the Spanish second division side.

Once again, a revelation has emerged that indicates that the Premier League champions are set to provide a highly-rated talent with the chance to shine within the City Football Group ranks.

As per a report by popular French newspaper L’Equipe, as translated and relayed by Get French Football News, Manchester City are understood to be ‘closing in’ on the signing of Le Havre centre-back Isaak Toure, who could be loaned out to CFG-owned club Troyes in the 2022/23 season.

It has also been stated that an ‘agreement’ between the two clubs is ‘close’, but ‘common ground’ regarding the finer details of the transfer has been found.

The report mentions that Troyes are also ‘interested’ to add the 19-year-old to their ranks, considering the Ligue 1 side have had a history of signing a host of Sky Blues players over the years.

Further details claim that the Frenchman is set to sign a long-term contract with Pep Guardiola’s side in the coming days, having visited the club’s training ground last week.

It has also been revealed that Toure - who is contracted to Le Havre till 2023 - had offers from clubs operating in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga that were willing to sign him, but the side in the French second tier decided to keep hold of their academy graduate.

In addition, top French sides such as Lyon and Marseille are said to have also been ‘interested’ in signing the youngster, but the highly-touted defender had his sights set on signing for the English giants.

While Manchester City fans will have to stay patient, as it is likely that the club will assess his development over time, there is no doubting that Isaak Toure will be nurtured in ideal fashion by joining Troyes on loan next term.
