Sami Mokbel reports that the England midfielder will undergo his Manchester City medical on Friday, as Phillips moves closer to a move away from his boyhood club - who he has made 233 appearances for since his debut in 2015.
Following the completion of his medical tests, Kalvin Phillips can be expected to take part in a number of interviews and photoshoots with Manchester City’s in-house media team, prior to the official announcement.

Phillips made 20 Premier League appearances during an injury-impacted season, as Leeds beat Brentford on the final day of the campaign to secure their top-flight status for a third consecutive year.
The 26 year-old will become the latest England player to make a big money move to the Etihad Stadium, after Jack Grealish moved from Villa Park in a record £100 million transfer last summer.
