Manchester City face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday evening.

The Sky Blues dramatically beat Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, courtesy of a late Erling Haaland penalty.

Haaland marked his return from injury with his 18th Premier League goal of the campaign, after Andreas Pereira cancelled out Julian Alvarez's empathic opener.

Chelsea come into Wednesday's cup tie after successive league losses, following defeats to Brighton and Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta's side leapfrogged City back to the top of the table after a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea suffered defeat in the final of the Carabao Cup last season, while City were knocked out by West Ham in round four last year.

Pep Guardiola has won the competition on four occasions, with City beating Chelsea on penalties in the 2019 final.
