Manchester City take on FC Copenhagen on matchday four of the UEFA Champions League group stage this evening, as they look to build on and maintain their unbeaten run since the very start of the 2022/23 season.

Pep Guardiola's side could quite obviously not be coming in to this fixture any higher on confidence.

Their last outing saw them secure another three points in the Premier League, as they cruised past a Southampton side that have caused them problems in recent meetings.

While the free-scoring Erling Haaland failed to notch in the first-half against the Saints, it was Joao Cancelo and Phil Foden who put Manchester City into a strong 2-0 half-time lead.

Riyad Mahrez struck from the penalty spot in the second-half, before the aforementioned Norwegian frontman secured his inevitable goal of the day with a simple stroke home from a Cancelo delivery.

Last time out in the Champions League, it was Copenhagen's turn to visit the Etihad Stadium, in a midweek clash last Wednesday.

That night, it was a more favourable evening's work for Erling Haaland, who scored a first-half brace before being replaced at half-time and earning himself some much-deserved rest for the remainder of the clash.

Second-half goals from the likes of Julian Alvarez and Riyad Mahrez put the game beyond any doubt, as City cruised to a 5-0 win on the night.

That dominant outing against the side from the Danish capital has now granted Pep Guardiola and his side a golden opportunity heading into tonight's clash.

Should Manchester City register a victory at Parken, then they would book their place in the Champions League knock-out stages, with two games still to play in Group G.

Ahead of kick-off, both managers have now confirmed their respective starting line-ups!
