Erling Haaland will be accompanied on international duty by a member of Manchester City's medical staff, following Norway's approval.

Erling Haaland has brought along a member of Manchester City’s medical team to international duty for Norway.

Since Erling Haaland has joined Manchester City, it’s safe to say that his performances are the very definition of setting things alight.

Shrugging off doubts over his adaptation to the Premier League from the Bundesliga, the Norwegian striker has started like a house on fire.

In his first seven league games of the season, the Sky Blues’ brand-new number nine has struck a staggering 11 goals.

Reaching his tenth goal for Pep Guardiola’s side in the sixth match against Aston Villa, the 22-year old became the joint-fastest player in the division’s history to hit double digits.

Backing his stunning hat-trick against Crystal Palace with yet another one against Nottingham Forest in the very next clash, he also became the fastest player in Premier League history to score his second treble of goals.

Breaking barrier after barrier in English football, there are many that are confident that Erling Haaland will comfortably surpass Mohamed Salah’s all-time record of 32 goals in a single 38-game season.

In the Champions League as well, the youngster became the first player in City history to score a brace on debut.

And, in his second game in Europe for the Sky Blues, the former Borussia Dortmund frontman scored a stunning acrobatic winner against his former club, taking his goal tally to a sizable 14 goals in eight total matches this term.

With the ex-RB Salzburg man becoming the Premier League champions’ main man, an insight into the measures taken by him to ensure he stays fit and firing have been revealed.

As per the latest information provided by pundit and close friend of the Haaland family, Jan Aage Fjortoft, the striking sensation has proposed the inclusion of Mario Pafundi, a member of Manchester City’s medical staff to Norway’s medical team during the ongoing international break; a decision that has been approved by manager Staale Solbakken.

Further details claim that Pafundi’s role is to ensure Erling Haaland follows the routine he has followed at the Etihad Stadium so far.

In addition, the club have been carefully assessing their blockbuster summer signing’s physical progress for a while, and believe the presence of Mario Pafundi shall enable him to preserve his fitness.

It is also stated that Pep Guardiola’s side are keen on maintaining a relationship with the Norwegian national setup, with club sources indicating that they would be willing to share the practices that have contributed to the goalscorer’s instant success in England.

It is key to note that Haaland’s injury record was a major worry in Germany, which was a key talking point upon his arrival at City.

With both the player and club focused on maintaining their success, it will boil down to zeroing in on the minor details to ensure he remains fit and firing for Manchester City for years to come.

Norway have two Nations League fixtures scheduled for the remainder of this month, with Haaland set to feature against Slovenia and Serbia.
