The recent confirmation of the 2022/23 Premier League fixtures has uncovered when Manchester City supporters could see new signing Erling Haaland make his competitive debut, after the club formally announced the signing of the Norwegian striker.
Manchester City fans captured their first glimpses of the 21-year-old forward on Monday as the Premier League champions officially unveiled their latest recruit a month after announcing they had agreed to secure Erling Haaland's arrival from Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland, who scored 86 goals in 89 appearances over two-and-a-half seasons for Dortmund in Germany, has penned a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium, with Manchester City seeing off stiff competition from throughout Europe for the striker's signature.
The Norwegian is expected to join up with Pep Guardiola’s squad for pre-season next month, with the Sky Blues travelling to the United States for a number of friendlies in the build-up to their Premier League title defence.
Meetings with Club America in Houston and Bayern Munich at the famous Lambeau Fields, home to the Green Bay Packers, could provide Haaland with his first minutes as a Manchester City player in July.
Having arrived as the club's record signing from Aston Villa last summer, Jack Grealish made his Manchester City debut in City's Community Shield defeat to Leicester City.
Haaland’s competitive debut could come in that fixture this year, with the Blues due to face Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on July 31st in the annual season curtain-raiser.
The 21-year-old's first minutes in the Premier League are likely to come at the London Stadium in Manchester City's opening day clash against the Hammers in August.
City, who have drawn their last three matches away to the Hammers, began their 2019/20 title defence at the former Olympic Stadium, where they thrashed the Irons 5-0.

Erling Haaland boasts a formidable record in the Champions League and the Norway international could make his debut for his new side in the competition in early September.
