A gymgoer unleashed a flurry of punches on internet troll Charlie Zelenoff after he sucker-punched Floyd Mayweather Sr in a sparring match in 2011.

Zelenoff stepped into the ring to try his luck against the 66-year-old former American boxer.

While the self-proclaimed 'unbeatable' boxer tried to fight back against Mayweather Sr, Zelenoff was completely outclassed and quickly climbed out of the ring to avoid shots from him.

As Mayweather Sr walked away from the corner, the 31-year-old Zelenoff became the ultimate opportunist as he climbed back into the ring and launched a sucker punch on his opponent.

But all hell broke loose as one person at ringside immediately climbed in and unleashed several punches on Zelenoff.

The man floored the American-Russian and relentlessly punched him before walking away.

And footage from the incident ended with Zelenoff climbing out of the ring after the beating he received.

Fight fans had very little sympathy for Zelenoff and one boxing supporter even suggested that he was 'lucky' Mayweather Jr wasn't there.

YouTube user Baker wrote: "He's very luck that somebody didn't put him in hospital after that."

While kseries1981 posted: "Good thing Jr wasn't there, he'd be eating through a straw."

Andrew Erntell said: "Zelenoff is a joke. Jumps out of the ring when things get tough, calls timeouts in the middle of fights and sucker punches. Pathetic excuse for a fighter."

A fourth added: "I'm not being funny, but he should of received a much worse beating than that for trying to sucker punch an old man, props to Sr though still got it."

Zelenoff also hit the headlines when he allegedly fired vile social media abuse and racist remarks at WBC champ Deontay Wilder, who manhandled him in a fight in 2014.
