Mike Tyson is in confident mood ahead of his return to the ring on September 12th, and told Jimmy Fallon that he'd 'kick Conor McGregor's a**.'

The boxing world has been very excited about Tyson's return since he told social media he wanted to make a comeback and last week it was confirmed he would be facing fellow former heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr.

The pair will meet in the middle of September, in an exhibition fight, and the former 'Baddest man on the planet' has now stepped up his promotion of the fight and appeared on The Tonight Show on Monday night.

Jimmy Fallon asked the 54-year-old about how he'd get on in the ring with other 'legends' in the fight game and asked about a McGregor fight Tyson joked 'I'd kick his a**,' during a very funny segment.

Iron Mike might like the idea of beating up the UFC star, who is actually currently retired, but he was actually a big fan of the Irishman's attempt at crossing into boxing.

McGregor lost to a 10th round stoppage against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017 in his only professional boxing fight and, speaking on the 'Hotboxin' podcast in May, Tyson was very complimentary, saying, "He never really had a boxing match in his life, right. He went 10 rounds with the greatest fighter in the last 100 years of boxing.

"He went 10 rounds, scored punches on the greatest boxer in the last 100 years.

"Did he do something? Did he accomplish something? People should look who he had the fight against and look what he did when he fought against him."

The former three time world heavyweight champion revealed that before signing to fight Jones Jr he'd actually agreed to fight former New Japan Pro Wrestling and MMA fighter Bob Sapp.

Speaking last week Tyson said, "My brother-in-law said: 'Listen, I know you don't wanna fight, but would you fight Bob Sapp? Somebody wants to offer you a lot of money to fight Bob Sapp.'

"I said, 'get outta here, I told people I don't fight no more.'

"Then my mind went 'ding! - What are the actual rules they want to fight under? Will they box me under the Marquis of Queensberry?'

"They said yes and I said, yes I'll fight him."

Who do you think will win, Tyson or Jones Jr? Let us know in the comments.
