Ed Matthews Knocks Out 'Simple' Simon On 'Biggest TikTok Boxing Card Of The Year'

Ed Matthews Knocks Out 'Simple' Simon On 'Biggest TikTok Boxing Card Of The Year'

It was over in round one.

Ed Matthews has defeated 'Simple' Simon Colbran on the biggest TikTok boxing card of the year.

Both men have been embroiled in an intense feud after the latter mocked his older rival for collaborating with fellow content creator Astrid Wett, 21.

Things have certainly got personal between the pair of late. Matthews spoke about Colbran's 18-year-old daughter Keeley during their recent press conference, while Colbran produced a YouTube diss track about his opponent.

Matthews and Colbran finally settled their differences on Saturday night when they went face-to-face during the main event of Kingpyn's 'Settling Scores' event in London.

And it was over in round one, when Matthews, 19, dominated from the get go. Here is the knockout punch.

Ahead of the bout, 52-year-old Colbran said he has his eyes on another contender who is a little more age-appropriate.

"I've been calling him out quite a bit," he said. "I've always said if things go well - but I'm not still getting ahead of myself - I would like to fight Greg Paul, Jake and Logan's dad.

"He's sort of a similar age. He's quite a fit bloke. So I think he'd be up for it, and I think he knows about it already, so I think that would be brilliant."

It's fair to say both men were very outspoken in the build-up to the bout.

Simple Simon said he did everything he possibly could in terms of preparation.

"I'm 52 for f*** sakes. People don't look at me like I'm 52 but how many 52-years-old get in the ring? At the end of the day I'm going to get in there knowing that I've trained hard.

"I've done everything I can to prepare for this fight."

Fellow TikTok star Ed Matthews was in confident spirits ahead of fight night and to his credit, the teenager was spot on in his prediction.

"I've been training and I quit smoking for about two weeks until I saw him fight my brother, then I thought f*** it and carried on because that was washed.

"I genuinely can't see this going past the first round so anybody who watches this put your money on first-round knockout."
