This weekend, Deji Olatunji, the 25-year-old YouTuber, is continuing in the footsteps of similar YouTube-turned-boxing stars like his older brother KSI, Logan Paul and Jake Paul, by competing in one of the biggest boxing matches of the year.

The Showstar Boxing fight is also set to see a knockout between Thomas 'Faze Temperrr' Oliveira and 'King Kenny' Ojuederie during the event this Saturday.

Former Ex On The Beach contestant Ashley Cain recently announced he was "gutted" that he won't be stepping into the ring, after his rival and American YouTube star Andreas Eskander pulled out of the fight.

Olatunji is returning to the ring following his disappointing performance in his second fight last summer, when he lost to Instagram influencer Vinnie Hacker in the third round TKO.

The YouTuber was also Jake Paul’s very first opponent back in 2018, taking the American pro-boxer into the fifth round where he caused the star to bleed.

This makes Olatunji one of only two boxers to take Paul past the second round of a match, showcasing his skillful natural abilities in the sport.

However, Wassabi has been training in the sport for years. He has struggled to find opponents, though, after his public knockout with Yousef “Fousey” Erakat.

Deji vs. Alex Wassabi latest news:

In the recent Showstar Face 2 Face, tensions were mounting between the fighters as they were interviewed by WWE broadcaster Andy Shepherd.

Wassabi told his opponent as they faced-off: “I just want to fight, all this stuff that we have to do is cool or whatever but I just want to fight. That’s the whole reason I accepted your challenge."

Deji tried to take matters into his own hands and tried to encourage his rival in a brawl on the spot.

“Do you wanna fight right now?," he asked Wassabi.

Deji vs. Alex Wassabi fight date:

The Deji vs. Alex Wassabi fight is taking place this weekend on Saturday 5th March 2022.

The pair are set to go head-to-head at London’s second-largest indoor arena, OVO Arena, Wembley, with doors opening at 6pm and the first face-off to start at 7pm.

Deji vs. Alex Wassabi tickets:

Tickets for the Deji vs. Wassabi boxing match are priced between £35 and £147, and are available from Axs and ticketmaster.

How to watch Deji vs. Alex Wassabi fight:

The Deji vs Alex Wassabi fight will be available to watch on Showstar's very own pay-per-view livestream. Access to the stream is priced from $9.99 (£7.35), and hopeful watchers can sign up now for access on their site.

Deji vs Alex Wassabi fight prediction:

Whilst neither Deji or Alex Wassabi have taken the trophy inside the ring during their careers as of yet, Olatunji is predicted to win on points. The YouTuber seems more experienced at a boxing level, and if his fitness doesn’t let him down, he should have more than enough to win.

Cain, who's also participating in the event, has previously told SPORTbible that he's backing Deji on the night.

“I’m going with my boy from Team UK, Deji. It’s about time, it’s his time now to prove himself, it’s his time to pick up that ‘W’ and it’s his time to do it for team UK.”

Deji vs Alex Wassabi odds:

As for who's predicted to win on the night, bookies have Deji at the top with 1/4, while Wassabi trails behind with 3/1, according to Betfair.

Meanwhile, the gambling experts would expect an unlikely draw at 10/1.

Odds are correct at the time of publication and are, as always, subject to change.
