Tyson Fury has responded to claims he and Oleksandr Usyk have agreed to fight, having shared a poster on his Instagram.

On Friday, it emerged that the pair of heavyweight champions had signed the contracts for a lucrative unification fight and December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was suggested as a time and place.

Frank Warren's Queensbury promotions, who co-manage Fury, said it has all been signed and WBC world heavyweight champ Fury followed up by sharing the same graphic and tagging 'Riyadh Season'.

The Gypsy King will be in Riyadh for his bout with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou later this month but looks set to make a swift return to the Middle East for one of the biggest fights in history.

There has not been an undisputed champion in heavyweight boxing since Lennon Lewis in 1999.

At the time of writing, an official date has not yet been confirmed but we do know that it will take place at the Kingdom Arena.

Neither man has experienced defeat in their boxing careers, with Fury 33-0-1 and Usyk 21-0.

Fury is looking to reclaim all the belts he had to vacate following his retirement after a stunning win over Wladimir Klitschko, while Usyk has the chance to replicate Evander Holyfield's achievement in becoming undisputed at both cruiserweight and heavyweight.

"This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport," Warren commented.

"The heavyweights always spark the imagination of the fans, and I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century. I look forward to Tyson reclaiming the three belts that he never lost in the ring. Huge thanks to His Excellency and the GEA.”

Bob Arum of Top Rank added: "Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are the two greatest heavyweights of their generation, and I can’t wait to see what happens when they step into the ring in Riyadh.

"They are special talents worthy of competing for the greatest prize in sports,” said Top Rank chairman Bob Arum. “I would like to thank His Excellency Turki Al Alshaikh and everyone involved in helping make this legendary night a reality.”
