KSI leaks 4am text from Wayne Rooney about offer to make 'good money'

KSI has leaked a text message from Wayne Rooney revealing an offer to make 'good money'.

Rooney, who was sacked by Birmingham City in January, was linked with a boxing match under the Misfits banner - the promotion launched by KSI, who recently reignited his feud with former foe Tommy Fury.

But the Manchester United and England legend said he turned down the offer.

However, he has seemingly flirted with the idea of having a fight inside the squared circle judging by his text message to KSI back in December 2022.

According to KSI, Rooney texted him about an offer to have a fight which 'could generate' a lot of money.

Speaking on his podcast, the social media star pulled out his phone and read out the ex-footballer's 4am text message.

He said: "Alright, I've got it. This is 5th December, 2022. At 3:50 A.M. 'Hi mate, what do you think on me and you having a boxing fight? I think we could generate a lot of money. You up for it.'

"No question mark. Just a full stop. He's not asking.'

"'We could sell out a stadium with the right support and both make good money...'

"It would be great to see him just fight someone and if he annihilates that person, then yeah, fine, let's fight."

Rooney, however, is focused on returning to management rather than lace up a pair of boxing gloves.

In an episode of Stick to Football podcast - produced by SkyBet - the 38-year-old was asked whether he would box soon.

"You never know... [But] at the moment, I want to get back into management, not boxing," he revealed.

"They've just been in touch to fight, yeah. There's been a few [opponents thrown around] obviously, Misfits have been in [touch] and that's been all over the news. But, listen, I want to focus on getting back into management."
