Footage of John Fury getting knocked out in his boxing career has resurfaced after his shocking headbutt on a member of Oleksandr Usyk's team.

A pre-fight event was held at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ahead of the undisputed world heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on Monday.

However, it descended into chaos after Fury Sr planted a headbutt on Stanislav Stepchuk, a member of Usyk's entourage.

The fracas took place while Fury was taking part in interviews, with the 59-year-old screaming as blood poured from his head.

Saudi Arabian authorities say no further action will be taken, with the much younger and smaller Stepchuk not pressing any charges.

Fury is therefore expected to be in his son's corner for the superfight, where the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC belts are on the line.

John is known for causing chaos anytime either of his sons are in action, but he was a boxer himself many moons ago.

He had a total of 13 professional fights, making his debut in defeat back in 1987 before embarking on a seven-fight winning streak.

However, he suffered knockout defeats to former WBO champion Henry Akinwande and Steve Garber and retired with an 8-4-1 record.

The loss to Akinwande was particularly brutal and saw Fury sent crashing to the canvas and lay against the ropes.

Garber also made his knees go weak when he caught him with a right, with Fury not quite up to the level.

Both Tyson and Tommy have made millions from their exploits inside the squared circle but for John it certainly wasn't the case.

He collected just less than £4,000 from boxing - claiming he made more from bare-knuckle fights

"I made less than £4,000," he wrote in his autobiography 'When Fury takes over'.

"I wasn’t making any real money from Queensberry Rules boxing; in thirteen fights as a pro over an eight-year period.

"Fighters often make excuses after they’ve been beaten, but some of my challenges were laughably one sided. Like when I fought Neil Malpass. It was my first ten-rounder, and at the time I had only had a handful of fights and experienced six two-minute rounds, while he had had over forty professional fights. I lost narrowly on points."
