New footage has emerged which shows exactly how John Fury suffered a cut on his head following a clash with Oleksandr Usyk’s team.

Tensions boiled over ahead of the undisputed heavyweight title fight between Usyk and Tyson Fury on Saturday night, the first heavyweight title unification bout since 1999.

The original bout between Fury and Usyk was scheduled for February 17 but Fury was forced to withdraw after sustaining a nasty cut above his eye during sparring.

Since then, the fight has taken a new turn with Usyk’s team constantly claiming Fury deliberately caused the cut in order to dodge the fight with the Ukrainian and the relationship between the two fight camps has become more tense.

There was shocking scenes on Monday when Fury’s father John emerged from an altercation with Usyk’s team with blood streaming from his forehead.

Initially, it was unclear how the cut occurred but new footage has shone light on the incident.

In a video circulated on social media, it appears Fury aimed a headbutt at a member of Usyk’s team which caused the nasty gash.

"I live for this f***ing s***," he later screamed at a camera, while chanting "Fury, Fury, Fury."

Tyson Fury’s brother Shane told Boxing King Media: “A little idiot got headbutted and he s*** himself.”

Fans slammed Fury for his actions and some called that he should be banned from future media events to prevent a similar incident from happening again in the future.

One fan wrote: “Get that guy out of the picture, hopefully banned from all future events.”

Another fan said: “John Fury always making it about himself as usual.”

It’s not the first time Fury’s father has inserted himself into the situation before one of his son’s huge fights.

Before the fight against Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia, Fury ripped off his shirt and joined the two main event fighters on stage during their intense stare down.

He also got involved with YouTuber KSI before his bout against Tommy Fury, violently punching a plastic screen that separated the two fighters.
