He said: "It's been some journey and I feel like this is the end of the Benn-Eubank saga. It's done and finished. It's over. This ends here. Everyone was saying I can't box, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
"This wouldn't have been what it was without Chris and without our dads. This is generational. This is history. Credit to Chris. That's all I've got to say. Not bad for two silver spoon kids."
Looking ahead, it was mentioned that Benn would like to drop back to 147 lbs and win a world title.

Just days after his bout with Eubank Jr, it has been claimed that a fight for a world title could be on the cards.
According to talkSPORT, WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr is eyeing a fight with Benn.
Norman Jr, 24, will be taking on former undisputed lightweight king Devin Haney in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this weekend.
The report stated that Norman Jr would like to defend his title and then collect the remaining pieces to become the undisputed champion.
Currently, Mario Barrios is the WBC champion, Rolly Romero holds the WBA strap and Lewis Crocker has the IBF title.
Speaking recently, Norman Jr stated that Benn 'will become a world champion' and he hopes to take him on in the future.
He said: "I believe Conor Benn will become a world champion, and I know he's not scared of anybody. I would welcome that fight in your country. I haven't fought over there yet, but it will happen.
"I'll come over there whenever Conor Benn gets a belt...My goal is to become undisputed, so I want to fight whoever has the belts, but I like that fight with Benn."
Speaking inside the ring after beating Eubank Jr, Benn called out WBC champion Barrios.
He said: "I fancy Mario Barrios for the WBC world title. Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero, Devin Haney... all of them can get it any day of the week and twice on Sundays."
