Chris Eubank Jr called out promotor Eddie Hearn during a press conference on Thursday.

Eubank Jr, 35, and Conor Benn have dominated the headlines in the countdown to their upcoming fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 26.

On Wednesday, the boxing duo’s pre-fight face-off was cancelled amid ‘security concerns’, after Eubank Jr smashed an egg in his rival’s face during a press conference in Manchester on Tuesday.

Then, on Thursday, fans waited in anticipation as the pair took part in a press conference at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

And it was relatively subdued compared to the events of Tuesday but the needle was still evident, no more so than when Eubank Jr accused Hearn, 45, of lying to the public.

When speaking about how the fight was made, Eubank Jr revealed how he is "happy with the deal".

"The point of the story is, there's no splits, no percentages... he [Eddie Hearn] didn't negotiate an amazing deal," said Eubank Jr.

"We got the number we were happy with," said Hearn.

"We got the number [that] we think provided value for His Excellency."

"There was no 60/40 split," claimed Eubank Jr.

"So you lied to the public... and now I'm setting it straight."

Hearn then explained how Benn, 28, wants to beat his opponent regardless of the funds involved.

"It is not about the money for Conor Benn, this is only about the money for you," Hearn claimed before Eubank Jr explained how this is not the case.

Of course, Eubank Jr and Benn were scheduled to fight back in October 2022, but the match was famously postponed after Benn failed a drug test.
