While promoter Dana White found himself in a tense exchange with a reporter, Alvarez interrupted American boxing commentator Max Kellerman.
Kellerman had been praising White as one of the greatest combat sports promoters in history, pointing to the growth of UFC as an example of his influence.
He then explained how he thought White could continue to expand boxing.
At that stage, Alvarez interjected, making his opinion clear, as you can see in the clip above.

The 35-year-old said: "UFC is not bigger than boxing."
Although most sports fans would agree, it was a bold statement from Alvarez with UFC President White stood in the background.
However, White has expanded into boxing promotion in recent years, having worked to promote UFC icon Conor McGregor's fight with Floyd Mayweather back in 2017.
