Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital as he paid his final respects to his close friends who tragically lost their lives in the car accident.

Joshua's pals and team members Kevin 'Latif' Ayodele and Sina Ghami were killed in a car crash in Nigeria.

Ayodele was a personal trainer for the star boxer and Ghami, who was in the corner for the Jake Paul fight, a strength and conditioning coach.

'AJ' suffered minor injuries in the car crash and was transported to the Duchess International Hospital for medical attention.

But he has since been discharged from hospital less than three days after he was involved in a car crash that killed two of his mates.

According to a statement from the regional governments of Lagos and Ogun, Joshua is recovering at his home in Nigeria as he was deemed clinically fit to 'recuperate at home'.

Joshua and his mother paid their final respects to Ayodele and Ghami at a funeral home on Wednesday, the statement added.

Omotoso also expressed his gratitude for the team of doctors and medical staff that attended to Joshua and those that sustained injuries in the car crash.

He added: "We also want to appreciate the team of Doctors and medical personnel at the Lagoon Hospital Ikoyi that attended to Anthony and those that sustained injuries. The quality of care and professionalism is truly commendable."
