Combat sports most controversial figure is set to step into the wrestling ring for the very first time.

It was announced on today's Monday Night Raw (AEDT) that boxer and social media megastar Logan Paul will compete at Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas, Texas in April.

Paul will team with The Miz to face the father-son duo of Rey & Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'.

It won't be the first time Paul is seen inside the squared circle with the 26-year-old also appearing at last year's Wrestlemania 37 in Tampa Bay, sitting ringside for the Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn match where he received a stunner from Owens post-match.

Paul's appearance will also mark the second consecutive year that The Miz will feature with a celebrity at the event.

The former WWE Champion teamed with John Morrison at Wrestlemania 37 to take on Damien Priest and recording artist megastar Bad Bunny in a match that received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

While Bad Bunny appeared at the event as fan favourite, Paul's brash and arrogant nature, along with teaming with the villainous Miz against a legend like Mysterio and his son, will see him booed out of AT&T Stadium come April 2nd or 3rd (it is not yet confirmed which night the match will take place on over the two-night event).

Being billed as 'The Most Stupendous Two-Night Event in Wrestlemania History', Wrestlemania could also see the return of several past WWE stars.

It's been widely reported that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will come out of retirement to face current star Kevin Owens, with Owens recently signing a contract extension with the company in January.

It's also believed that former WWE star and one of the pioneers of rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Cody Rhodes, will soon return to the company for a match at the event after he chose not to resign with AEW last week, causing shockwaves throughout the wrestling world.

With the event still six weeks away, only three additional matches have currently been announced along with the Paul/Miz vs Mysterios' matchup.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will battle for the company's top two titles - the WWE Championship & WWE Universal Championship - in a winner takes all match while Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will defend their Smackdown & Raw Women's Championships against 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey and Bianca Belair respectively.
