Hold onto your saddles because Racing WA is offering up an opportunity that'll make your heart race faster than a jockey at the starting gate.

It's time to gear up for the ultimate adrenaline rush with Own The Dream, which is Racing WA’s annual competition that puts the power of racehorse ownership right in the punter’s fingertips.

Let’s be real, owning your own horse is the punting group chat’s ultimate dream.

“Yeah mate, let me look into it. I’m pretty sure my mate’s cousin’s sister’s colleague can tee us up with something,” says that one overconfident friend.

And look, it never happens – does it?

Well, thanks to Racing WA, that could be about to change with three lucky teams getting the chance to clinch a golden ticket to use at the 2024 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale towards a horse of their choice.

To get involved, all you have to do is assemble your dream team consisting of no fewer than four members and no more than ten – oh, and at least half your team must be first-time owners.

And to secure the top spot, the answer is simple: it's all about attendance.

That’s right, each racing event your team attends over the summer earns you a golden token, increasing your chances to hit the jackpot.

So imagine a team of four attending all four events – that's 16 chances waving at lady luck!

The more team members you've got attending, the higher your odds.

Only 40 teams will get the green flag to compete, so if you're someone who loves a day on the punt at the races, then start assembling your dream crew.

For those of you that enter but end up falling agonisingly short of the top gong, there’s still so many prizes on offer.

Another five teams won't leave empty-handed, walking away with a sweet $2k consolation voucher to kick-start their journey into the thrilling world of racehorse ownership.

But hold your horses, there's more.

Those punters will also win four exclusive and FREE events granting you VIP access behind the scenes, letting you taste the life of a racehorse owner even more – picture mingling with trainers, chilling with jockeys, and rubbing shoulders with industry legends.

As for the winning team, they’ll walk away with a whopping $20,000 to splurge at the 2024 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, with an option to split some of that cash towards training fees.

Second and third place aren't too shabby either, bagging $15,000 and $10,000, respectively, to claim a share in a racehorse, plus training fee options.

With only eight teams destined to win big at the Grand Finale, this isn’t just a sheer sprint – it’s a chance to make your mark in the world of thoroughbred glory.

So, saddle up and rally your squad.
