A 3D simulation has shown how Usain Bolt would compare to three dinosaurs and a cheetah over 100 metres while running world record pace.
The Jamaican ran 9.58 over 100m at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, breaking his previous record of 9.69 set in the Beijing 2008 Olympic final.
With no sprinter since coming close to breaking or even matching his record - even reigning Olympic champion Noah Lyles - fans have put Bolt in fantasy scenarios against animals of different speeds.

Over various simulations, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist has put a dog and a kangaroo to the sword, while he also comfortably defeated the world's fastest pig.
The most recent simulation, created by YouTube channel Global Data, saw Bolt pitted up against a horse, a cheetah and a greyhound - with eye-opening results.
If you thought that people had run out of animals to face Bolt, you would be (technically) wrong.

G's Data Lab has brought back the cheetah and horse for another high-speed run, with three different dinosaurs thrown into the mix as well.
The dinosaur speeds are, of course, based on scientific interpretations, with Bolt pitted up against a nanotyrannus, a pachycephalosaurus and a gallimimus.
And if you didn't think there were enough animals involved, a dog and a saber-toothed smilodon are also present on the starting blocks, alongside an average human being.
Within the first few yards, there is already a clear winner, with the cheetah sprinting away from its rivals.

In fact, by the time it reaches the finish line in just 3.27 seconds while clocking 68mph, the other competitors are all out of the picture completely.

In second place is the nanotyrannus in 4.50 seconds, while the ostrich produces a sensational comeback from halfway onwards to pip the gallimimus to fourth.
In fifth place is the horse at 6.0 seconds - having clearly been training hard since the last simulation, when it ran 6.5.
Then follows the pachycephalosaurus (6.58), the smilodon (7.50) and then Bolt.

The Jamaican does manage to defeat the dog (10.27) and, of course, the average human being, who clocks the 100 metres in a time of 15.65.
