A 3D simulation involving Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest greyhound and cheetah, emerged online, and the result was fascinating.
Bolt, 38, is the fastest man of all time and boasts both the 100 and 200m world records with times of 9.58s and 19.19s respectively, which he set at the 2009 IAAF World Athletics Championships.
Many have tried and all have failed to break the records he set. Since 2020, Trayvon Bromell and Fred Kerley have clocked the fastest time of the decade running 100m in 9.76s.

Bolt has even previously claimed that he would’ve broken his own record again if he hadn’t got injured in 2011.
“If I hadn’t got injured in the season, I would have broken the record again,” he insisted when speaking on The Fix Podcast earlier this year.

“That year, I was floating. I was running very well, and the coach was excited. It was the first time I heard him say we were going to race and break the world record.”

So, as humans have not run faster than Bolt, could some of the world’s fastest animals beat him?
Well, Motion Athlete put this to the test during a 3D simulation posted to their YouTube channel.
Bolt was flanked by a greyhound and a cheetah during the simulation, and the results were certainly interesting.
The cheetah raced in front with the greyhound also ahead of the eight-time Olympic gold medallist on the two-second mark.

The cheetah finished with a time of 4.74s, which would break Bolt’s 100m world record, while the greyhound finished in 5.82s.
So, even Bolt would struggle against the world’s fastest animal, but will another human ever run faster than him?
Well, Bolt was asked about this and named a fellow Jamaican as the man who can “do it”.

“Oblique [Seville] can do it," said Bolt. "If he can stay fit through the season and get it right, he can do it because I’m sure there’s something there, the ability to do it.
“Some of the time, Oblique is kind of fragile. I don’t know if it’s the work situation, if he’s doing enough work, but he can do it. He’s not missed a final yet, so he has to just to get over the hump.
“The coach believes in him, it’s up to the athlete now to put it all together. Let’s see what he does this season. He’s on the right path, he should get better and better.”
