Zinchenko Makes Emotional Admission After Arsenal Debut

Following an impressive Arsenal debut in pre-season against Chelsea, new signing Oleksandr Zinchenko showed his emotions to the cameras.

New Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko couldn’t contain his excitement after the Gunners’ 4-0 annihilation of Chelsea over the weekend.

A boyhood Arsenal admirer, donning the red and white jersey was an emotional prospect for the 25-year-old.

It only took 45 minutes of action for the Ukrainian to become fully enraptured in what it means to have the cannon on your chest.

Speaking to the Arsenal camera’s post-match, he said:

"Oh my god! What a club! Unbelievable!

"What a pleasure to be here. So happy. Come on Gunners!"

Zinchenko’s admiration was certainly mutual, with numerous instances in his first-half cameo of the jaw-dropping technique that had Kyle Walker list him in the top three technician’s at Manchester City.

This isn’t the first time the Ukrainian has been left in awe of what the club he has joined represents.

The summer signing told Arsenal media when he first joined the club:

"First of all I would like to say this is a boyhood dream come true.

"I was a massive fan when I was a kid.

"Since Thierry Henry and young Cesc Fabregas was playing here, I was just enjoying watching those games, that Arsenal.

"And obviously I started to love this club, so I am so excited and I cannot wait to play for this amazing club."

The Ukrainian may well get his full debut very soon, with the season opener only 9 days away.

With Kieran Tierney having only just recently returned to full-training, Zinchenko’s technical security and greater match sharpness will be much needed in the Premier League curtain raiser against Crystal Palace next Friday.
