The visitors are without Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James and N’Golo Kante for the Champions League clash on Tuesday as they look to complete and finish the job.

"Salzburg are a really good side, very strong, especially here (at home),” said Potter ahead of the game in his pre-match press conference.

“We expect a really tough match. We have to fight, match their intensity and play our football. It's going to be an exciting game."

On winning and being able to rest players against Dinamo Zagreb next week, the 47-year-old added: "It would be nice to win and we know the consequences.

"Our thoughts are to win the match. We have to take the challenge.

"We're not finished, we haven't got enough points (yet to progress into knockout stages). That's the test.”
