A fan's incredibly detailed Twitter thread on Vince McMahon became a viral hit after spotlighting the crazy stories behind the WWE chairman‎ and CEO.

McMahon, 76, has become renowned for his eccentric on-screen WWE persona during and after the fan-favourite Attitude Era.

And Twitter user Allan compiled an incredible number of stories involving the WWE boss and posted the comprehensive thread.

Stories in the thread range from McMahon getting "wasted at a strip club" to thinking that "throwing/pushing someone into a swimming pool while fully clothed is the funniest thing on planet earth."

Since it was posted, the Twitter thread has amassed over 6,000 retweets and 15,000 likes.

WWE senior vice president Bruce Prichard, who is also executive director of the SmackDown and Raw brands, said that he feels like he is in the "hot seat all the time" while working with McMahon.

He explained on Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard: "It's a no-win position when you're working with Vince every week on-air.

"Because you're just [in] the hot seat and everything you do -- I'm trying to produce and I'm trying to be a talent and it's just tough and you're in the hot seat all the time and it's not a comfortable place to be.

"Because everything is being critiqued and everything is being just produced and overproduced at that point.

"From a talent standpoint, I knew I wasn't the guy. I wasn't good. It sucked. I mean, it really did.

"Producing a colour guy, all day long. Being a colour guy -- ah, not my bag, man."
