Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman genuinely exchanged brutal strikes back at Royal Rumble 2018.

Royal Rumble 2018 lived up to its lofty expectations as former UFC champion Ronda Rousey officially signed with the WWE not to mention the entertaining triple-threat match between Lesnar, Strowman and Kane.

Lesnar won the match and claimed the WWE Universal Championship after pinning Kane, but he had to eat some shots before winning the bout.

Strowman landed a brutal knee flush on Lesnar's head, though the 'The Beast Incarnate' immediately returned fire.

Strowman received one hell of a receipt from Lesnar who punched him in the head like he was in the Octagon.

Lesnar's new angle is with former UFC foe Cain Velasquez, who beat him at UFC 121 for the heavyweight title.

Velasquez made his WWE debut at Smackdown and he made an instant impact.

Lesnar had just beaten Kofi Kingston in a matter of seconds to win the WWE World Championship when Velasquez made his entrance and attacked him in the ring.

The 37-year-old Californian came to the ring alongside Rey Mysterio after the 'Master of the 619's' music hit.

On Monday night Raw, Lesnar had attacked Mysterio, who was in a sling on Friday. Despite just winning the title there's very good reason why Lesnar looked like he'd just seen a ghost, in October 2010 he suffered a brutal first-round defeat to Velasquez.
