WWE star suffers gruesome knee injury after landing goes wrong as they're forced to cut broadcast

The WWE broadcast cut to an early break.

WWE star Zoey Stark suffered a gruesome knee injury as the broadcast was forced to cut away from her in-ring incident.

Stark had to be carried to the back by medical officials following a serious-looking injury in her Money in the Bank qualifier match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.

She flew off the ropes in an attempt to take out Sane with a missile drop-kick but landed horribly on her leg.

Her knee bent awkwardly as she immediately clutched her leg.

Stark looked in agony as the match referee attempted to comfort her while stricken on the canvas.

After the medical team entered the ring to attend to the 31-year-old WWE wrestler, the broadcast cut to an early commercial break.

Following the break, Michael Cole announced the triple threat match was now a singles match between Ripley and Sane.

Ripley and Sane continued the match after Stark pulled out.

Ripley ended up winning the contest and took to social media to wish Stark a speedy recovery.

She wrote: "Professional wrestling can be very real and dangerous... Tonight continued to prove that anything can happen. Wishing @ZoeyStarkWWE a speedy recovery!"

Sane added: "I truly hope we get to face each other again when you’re ready. Wishing you a smooth recovery. #Respect."

It's not the first time Stark has suffered a serious knee injury. She was sidelined for ninth months after tearing her ACL and meniscus back in November 2021.

She returned to WWE NXT in July 2022 after working as a producer on the brand while rehabbing her injury.

After the recent WWE cuts, Raw's women's division is already low on depth. The injury to Stark will leave an even bigger hole.

It appears she will be out of action for an extensive period of time and will need significant time to recover judging by the footage.

There is no official update from the WWE on the extent of her knee injury.
