Tyron Woodley has been accused of faking an 'I Love Jake Paul' tattoo which he had to get as part of a bet with the 24 year old.

Former UFC champion Woodley showed off the tattoo yesterday, the consequence of him losing their boxing match on 29th August in Cleveland, Ohio.

However Dan Hardy, a former welterweight mixed martial arts fighter, took to Twitter to question the tattoo, leading to a heated exchange between him and Woodley.

"So you left out the 'LOVE' part and that's written in pen, Tyron?" Hardy asked. "It looks like a tattoo your friend did when you were both drunk.

An embarrassing tattoo is one thing but a bad embarrassing tattoo is a whole other."

"Your UFC career is embarrassing," Woodley snapped in reply. "Your claim to fame is you got stomped by GSP and didn't die. Everything was by design- I'll keep setting trends while you tweet."

Hardy wasn't going to let Woodley get away with that comment.

"You've trending because you've got Jake Paul tattooed on your finger," the 39 year old retorted.

"Well done. Congratulations on your championship success. I remember the crowds booing in appreciation as your wore your heel out against the fence, backing up and avoiding the fight."

"Belts and titles. Things you dreamed of," Woodley said back. "They cheered as you were carried out on a stretcher. Champs now were in diapers last time you fought. Keep living your dream on the bag in your garage. From Outlaw to Uber Black driver."

It doesn't look like 39-year-old Woodley is going to face Paul in the ring again, irrespective of the 'tattoo' on his finger.

The latter appears to be more interested in fighting someone younger, with former Love Island star Tommy Fury heavily tipped to be his next opponent.

However, the YouTuber come boxer has his eyes set on Jorge Masvidal, who he believes would be his hardest fight yet.

"We're talking to four different parties, four different fighters and seeing which one makes the most sense," Paul explained, as quoted by The Mirror. "Honestly, just from a personal standpoint, I would love it to be (Jorge) Masvidal.

"Just because of the s*** talk, just because of his name, just because he's still in his prime era and there's a lot of personal beef there after I took out his boy Tyron [Woodley].

"Hopefully Dana [White] would let him out of his contract but we're not sure if that can happen. Hopefully Dana [White] would let him out of his contract but we're not sure if that can happen.

"But for me personally, I think that would be the toughest challenge, the toughest guy and the biggest name - the most relevant currently."
