Paddy Pimblett trolls Ilia Topuria by showing off $13k auction win after UFC Freedom 250

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has showed off what he claims is his latest auction win - and taken another huge dig at Ilia Topuria in the process after his defeat to Justin Gaethje at the White House.

Topuria lost by TKO at the end of the fourth round after he was unable to get up off his stool for the final three minutes.

He had to be supported by members of his team and family as he left the Octagon, and it was later confirmed that he had suffered orbital bone fractures and a broken nose.

Topuria said that Gaethje had 'taken the sight' from both of his eyes during the fight, and he was taken to hospital immediately afterwards.

The 29-year-old is now recovering and has already called out his UFC rival for a rematch once he returns to action.

One person who had little sympathy for Topuria was Pimblett, who has repeatedly mocked the fact that he was unable to get up and fight in the fifth and final round.

Pimblett lost via unanimous decision to Gaethje, 38, in a match for the interim UFC Lightweight Championship in January, and told Topuria on social media: "The only thing you had to do was beat a 38-year-old coming off a five-round war with me... instead you quit on your stool like the little b***h you are.

"I'm a real fighter and went five rounds. You're a little pretender, chorizo!"

In a subsequent interview with BBC Sport, he said: "Quit on his stool, though. That's not what real fighters do.

"Before the fight, I said Justin Gaethje's going to win. People saying, 'Oh, it's just because he's beaten you'. But I know I'd beat Ilia Topuria.

"He won't like in the deep waters. And he didn't. That's why he quit on his stool.

"I think he's going to struggle [to come back]. Just because his whole aura was based around [being] undefeated, no-one can beat me, this and that. Now he's tasted defeat, it's how you come back from that."

'Collectors' item' - Pimblett aims new dig at Topuria

Now, Pimblett has mocked Topuria once again - by claiming that he bought the stool that Topuria was sat on during the UFC Freedom 250 card at an auction.

Posting a photo on Instagram of him holding up a red UFC stool, which matches the characteristics of the stool Topuria was sat on, he wrote: "Collectors' item."

UFC did officially list the used stool for auction in the days following Topuria's brutal defeat, and it eventually sold for $13,700.

The listing read: "This is your chance to own a genuine piece of history forged during the biggest UFC event of all time.

"This red corner stool was used throughout the infamous UFC Freedom 250: Topuria vs Gaethje event and could be the perfect addition to your collection."

It looks to now be the perfect addition to Pimblett's collection.

He was reported to have earned $1.1 million in prize money, pre-tax, after his defeat to Gaethje - meaning he certainly has the funds to splash out.
