The legendary Anderson Silva has fended off fierce competition from fellow MMA icons Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre to be voted the best UFC fighter of all time.
The 45-year-old Brazilian-American fighter has built an illustrious fighting career inside the octagon and widely revered for his impact in UFC.
Irish superstar Conor McGregor revealed that he ranked Silva as the MMA GOAT in a controversial Twitter thread in May.

Joe Rogan has also shown admiration for the 'Spider' in the past, though the long-time UFC commentator didn't pick him as his MMA GOAT.
However, fans over at TheTopTens had their say on the best of the best in UFC history, with Silva taking the top spot in the site's rankings.
"Anderson Silva is no doubt the best," one fan wrote in the rankings.
Another posted: "In his prime, simply the best there ever was pound for pound. Only arguments that can be made is for Jon Jones and GSP."

A third MMA fan said: "Longest title [streak] in history, and for those who think GSP would win in both their primes well, GSP admitted himself that he can't beat Anderson."
While a fourth added: "The other fighters are great, but from a list of all-time 'Greats,' none of them were as dangerous as this man."
UFC legend 'GSP,' who called it time on his MMA career in 2019, finished behind Silva in the rankings.

Future Hall of Famer Jones, who Dana White called the MMA GOAT, took home the third spot in the top 10.
